Halifax is located in West Yorkshire, England, and is a large town of about 82,000 people. Halifax is famous for a number of things including the Halifax Bank who have the Halifax Retirement Home Plan, the Mackintosh Chocolate and Toffee, and its historical wool manufacturing dating all the way back to the 1400’s.

Halifax has great many things for tourists and visitors to do and enjoy, and a trip to Halifax will be one with much excitement and adventure. For one thing, Halifax has a great many bars and pubs, the one of highest concentrations of these establishments in the whole of the country. The night life in Halifax is very lively as there are many of these bars and clubs where locals and visitors can have fun and enjoy dancing and meeting people.

Not only that, but Halifax also has many landmarks which are worth visiting for those visitors who are interested in sightseeing. For instance, one of the most famous Halifax landmarks is Piece Hall. This building used to be a sales centre for wool merchants and salesmen. The building has over 300 separate rooms used for trading the wool and other cloth products. Later on this famous hall became a public market, once the Industrial revolution happened and cloth production became much more mechanical. Other landmarks of this area include Borough Market, a covered market area that has won awards, and the Halifax Town Hall.

Other ways of getting to Halifax include by train though Northern Rail, or by car through the M62. Car rental services are hard to find but the town has adequate bus service, and visitors can use the bus system to get around nearly anywhere. And as for food and drink, there are many restaurants with delicious foods and pleasant atmosphere where a traveller can eat and relax.
